"Anti-bullying week 2017 - All different All equal"

This week we have been doing lots of work about anti-bullying. On Monday, we all wore odd socks to celebrate how we are all different and unique whilst raising money for charity! We have also talked about what it means to be different and looked at ways to celebrate our differences and help look after each other. Check out our "We are unique" display :)

Rocket car racing!

This half term, we visited Brownedge St Mary's High School to create our very own rocket cars! We worked in teams with children and teachers from the school. Our job was the invent a special rocket car thinking about the best way to make it go super fast (aerodynamics!) We then had to cut foam blocks and sand them down to create the perfect shape. Next, we added wheels and an axel to the cars. The following week, our parents came to school to watch us race our rocket cars. The high school brought special speedometers which recorded the speeds. Some of our cars went as fast as 28 MPH! A fantastic project and we all really enjoyed it! Check out the pictures in the slideshow below.
