'With Jesus, we learn as a joyful family and flourish to be the best that we can be'

Junior Dragons' Den - BBC Children in Need

We have moved on to looking at persuasive writing in English throughout October. Our class enjoyed watching Junior Dragon's Den and "being the dragons". It was surprising how many persuasive techniques we noticed in the pitches.
Our writing next week is going to be persuasive - or Miss Francis will be shouting "I'm out!"

Autumn (1st half)

This half term we are looking at legend stories such as the tale of Gelert the dog and the creation of the Giant's Causeway, then writing our own exciting stories. We are also looking at persuasive writing and writing both formally and informally. This is alongside our GPS (grammar, punctuation and spelling) activities daily and our guided reading sessions. We are also starting our new spelling scheme and focusing on our weekly spellings which will be sent home each Wednesday.
