'With Jesus, we learn as a joyful family and flourish to be the best that we can be'

First, watch and enjoy the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle.  You may remember reading this when you were younger.

Next, write down what the caterpillar ate.  You may have to watch the video again to remember everything it ate.

After that, think about whether or not the caterpillar is eating a balanced diet.  You may need to revisit what you learned about eating well on Monday.

Now, your task is to write an improved, healthier menu for the hungry caterpillar for a day with breakfast, lunch and tea included.  As a challenge, you can create a menu for the caterpillar for a week instead.  Write your new menu using days of the week.  Remember to use a capital letter for each day of the week.  Use adjectives for the food which you choose each day.  For example, your menu may look like this:

Day of the Week Breakfast Lunch Tea
Monday Succulent sausages and poached eggs with tomato sauce Grapefruit segments and a glass of ice-cold milk Granary toast with sliced cheese and tomatoes on top
