'With Jesus, we learn as a joyful family and flourish to be the best that we can be'
Unless you have been contacted at home via telephone, you are to complete this English work below.
Focus Theme: Robots
Theme: Robots (Part 1) The focus texts each contain living characters made from metal or wood. You will explore extracts from Tin by Pádraig Kenny, Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi and The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum, considering themes such as loyalty, friendship and adventure.
The theme for Robots continues into next week as well!
If you are finding the texts difficult to read, ask a grown up to help you or an older sibling.
The vocabulary you will focus on are the words:
available, average, awkward, bargain, bruise, category, cemetery, committee, communicate and community.
Over the week, can you practise these words in your best handwriting like we would do in class and then put them into sentences? You can do this in your SPaG time.
If you are unsure of what to do or what anything means, just get in touch on Purple Mash!
