'With Jesus, we learn as a joyful family and flourish to be the best that we can be'

Here is your weekly plan. It breaks the tasks down so you know what to do each day - write the long date before you start. For your lesson starters, choose a book character each day and write a couple of sentences using inverted commas. For example:

"Did you see that?" shouted Alex.

Don't forget your daily reading for at least 15 minutes too! See if someone at home can ask you questions about what you've read and show them where in the text you have found the answer.

Guided Reading: Below is a text to read and questions to answer. Choose which level to complete (indicated by 1, 2 or 3 stars). It can be split across the week to make it more like school.

Monday: Pre-read task. This week, write some statements about what you already know about pollution. You might need to look up the definition of pollution first and record it in your book.

Tuesday: Read the text and highlight tricky words.

Wednesday: Look up the definitions of the tricky/new words and brainstorm alternative words.

Thursday: Answer the questions.

Friday: Mark and correct.
