'With Jesus, we learn as a joyful family and flourish to be the best that we can be'

# Tuesday 12th May

Mental starter:

Practise your 2 times table up to 2 x 12. Get your grown up to help you practise by asking what is 4 x 2? What are 7 lots of 2? etc. Remember you can use your fingers and count in 2s to help you. (For example- 3 x 2 = Hold up 3 fingers because we have 3 lots of 2. Then count in 2s as you put each finger down, 2, 4, 6.)

Main activity

Watch the powerpoint on finding halves and quarters of amounts. You only need to watch up to slide 12, unless you want to go further. Have fun practising splitting an amount into halves and quarters using whatever you have- crayons, pasta, buttons, clothes pegs etc. Can you find half of 8? a quarter of 12? (Use your pegs, pasta etc)
