LO: To find information in a text
Can you write down some super adjectives to describe these nouns?
Today we are going to look at finding information in a text. We have done this lots before when looking at comprehension skills. Remember, you will find all of the information in the text!
Can you think of 5 adjectives to describe the character of Cedric?
Go onto phonics play and look at phase 5. Play tricky word trucks and go onto phase 5A tricky words. Then you can choose some other games.
Write down the tricky words and use them in sentences.
LO: To recognise position, movement and direction
Josh arrived at school at 9 o’clock. In half an hour he started his Maths lesson. What time did he start his Maths lesson?
Today we are looking at position, movement and direction.
Can you find some items at home and with an adult, move your objects clockwise and anti-clockwise. Which position is your object in now?
LO: To understand the Our Father prayer and recognise it as preparation for Communion
After the priest has said the words that Jesus used at the Last Supper, the parish family prepares to receive Jesus in Holy Communion. As part of preparing to receive Jesus everyone prays the family prayer that Jesus gave us, the Our Father. This is a family prayer because God is a Father to everyone and loves and cares for everyone.
Read the Our Father prayer.
Our Father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those
who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
Talk to an adult about the prayer and think about these key questions:
Now create your own family prayer. You could also add some pictures to your prayer.
LO: To move with skill
Find a safe space to complete the exercises. Enjoy!
