'With Jesus, we learn as a joyful family and flourish to be the best that we can be'

Friday 8th January

Good morning,

Well done for working hard with your Home learning this week.  Please ask your parent to send me a photograph of one of your English and Maths tasks that you have completed this week by attaching it to an email on 2email on Purple Mash.  Thank you to those of you that have already done this.  If you need help doing this, there are help sheets on the Class Page.

Next Steps: Purple Mash - Monster Multiplication or TTRockstars

LO: To present discrete data

Choose your level of task; bronze, silver or gold.

Today you are going to be drawing your own bar charts.  Remember that you need to start your scale at 0.  The question tells you what the scale should go up in, so be careful that you read this.  It may say: 2s, 5s, 10s, 20s, 100s.  Leave a gap in between the bars/columns that you draw.  Make sure that you keep the scale even gaps, use the lines in your books to help with this, or the squares if you are using squared paper.

LO: To learn about the Anglerfish and their appearance

In this lesson, we will learn about anglerfish and their appearance. We will read a text and make notes by identifying the key information. This will help you build up your subject knowledge so that you will be able to write a non-chronological report in a later lesson.

Guided Reading:

LO: To scan for key words and information

Complete the Guided Reading task, Choose your level and self mark.  For any that you have gor wrong, go back to the text and work out why.
