'With Jesus, we learn as a joyful family and flourish to be the best that we can be'

Homework

Please remember to read each night for at least 15 minutes and have your diary signed each time. Books can include those sent from school, as well as your own that you may have at home. When you reach 150 reads, you can select a free book as a prize which will be celebrated in our weekly Friday achievement assembly, alongside our 2 class stars and reader of the week!

Spellings will be given each week to learn. Each Friday there will be a spelling test.  It is really important that you practise your spellings, which include words from the statutory Year 5 and 6 word list, spelling patterns linked to our No Nonsense Spelling scheme that we use in school, and words that are commonly spelt incorrectly in class work.

Keep revising your times tables at home each week. Timed times tables tests using times tables from 1x to 12x will be given each week.  It is important that you can recall these quickly to help you with your Maths work in school.

Our children are enjoying using White Rose Maths in class and we are pleased to tell you that an app has been released which comes highly recommended.

It consists of one minute challenges and games which can be used to support your child's maths development.

Please follow the link below to download the app.
