Maths

Daily Warm Up: Choose a number between 10 and 100 and brainstorm facts about it. If you want to really challenge yourself, choose a number greater than 100. Think about:

  • Is it odd or even?
  • How many tens and units?
  • Is it a multiple of 2, 3, 4, 5, 10?
  • Find 10 more and 10 less
  • Find 1 more and 1 less
  • Which 10 does it round to?

4.5.20 - Position and Direction

L.O.: To give and follow directions

View the PowerPoint and knowledge organiser below, then complete the activity cards. If you don't have a printer, you could look at the screen and talk it through with someone at home.

5.5.20 - Position and Direction

L.O.: To follow directions in relation to turns

Have another look at the PowerPoint and knowledge organiser from yesterday. View the PowerPoint below too and think about our work on fractions. Then, complete the worksheet - aim to complete at least 3 animals from each sheet. You can draw your answers in your book if you don't have a printer, by swapping the starting animal for a symbol or a shape to make this easier. Or you could complete the activity by talking to someone at home.

Top Tip: For a half turn, the picture will be upside down. For a quarter turn, it will be on its side. For a whole or full turn, it will be the same as its starting position.

6.5.20 - Complete questions 6 to 18 of the SATs paper (see below)

7.5.20 - Complete questions 19 to 32 of the SATs paper (see below)

8.5.20 - Enjoy a bank holiday break!
