'With Jesus, we learn as a joyful family and flourish to be the best that we can be'

Monday 1st March

Good morning everyone!

I hope that you all had a lovely weekend.

Remember to email me on Purple Mash if you need any help, and if you didn't send your work from last week please send it today.

Thank you :)

Next Steps:

Write out week 2 of the Spring 2 spelling words.  Use our No Nonsense Spelling techniques to help.  Remember the spelling words can be found on our class page in the Homework Folder

In this lesson we will use our senses word maps and inspiration from John Lyons' poems to write our own poems about a carnival. We will include a rhyming refrain and will perform to a beat or rhythm. Teaching sequence and video clips of John Lyons reading poems from CLPE (https://clpe.org.uk/poetryline/resources/teaching-sequences/dancing-rain)
In this lesson, you will explore a series of shapes which grow in size. You will be spotting the patterns and exploring them so that you can make a general statement about the rules of this pattern. Using the general rules you have discovered, you will be able to find out the number of shapes needed for any term in the sequence. You will also learn how to investigate the patterns logically.

LO: To offer textual evidence

Choose your level and read the text.  Answer the questions taking care that you give enough evidence so that you fully answer the question. Remember to self assess and mark your work.  Go back to the text for any corrections, so that you can check why you went wrong.
