LO: To cold write a traditional tale

Today we are looking at traditional tales again. Think back to when we looked at Jack and the Beanstalk. Think about the story of the Three Little Pigs. What happens at the beginning, middle and end? What is the problem and what is the solution? Is there a happy ending?

I want you to write your own story based on the Three Little Pigs with new characters and a new problem.

Remember to include:

  • Capital letters, finger space, full stops
  • Other punctuation: ? ! , ‘
  • Conjunctions to extend sentences
  • Sentence openers
  • Paragraphs (intro, build-up, problem, resolution, ending)
  • Handwriting
  • Adjectives

Maths

6+4=

5+_=10

7+_=10

Can you make your own number bonds with any items you have at home?

RE:

To recognise change

We are looking at the changes in our world. We are currently observing Lent where we give up certain things for 40 days. We are looking at how the seasons change. Think about your favourite season. Tell me why it is your favourite and draw a picture of it. You can choose between Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.
