Monday 4th May - RE

Have a look at the documents below. Read the stories then complete the activities.

Tuesday 5th May - Science

L.O:To investigate an animal and its habitat

Think back to our work on habitats. This week you are going to choose one animal and fill in a fact file about your animal. You will need to research your animal on the internet. Find out:

  • where your animal lives
  • what it eats
  • at least one interesting fact
  • if it a mammal, reptile etc
  • how it has adapted to its environment

Don't forget to draw a picture of your animal. You don't need to use the sheets below but they may help you decide how to set out your work.

Wednesday 6th May - PE

Make sure you find a safe space to try this! Choose some of the links on the document below and complete some of the activities. You can use this document as often as you like to complete regular PE activities on any day of the week.

Thursday 7th May - History (VE Day Anniversary)

Tomorrow is the 75th anniversary of VE Day (Victory in Europe Day, the end of World War II). To remember this important day, there is a bank holiday tomorrow. Read the PowerPoint below first, to help you understand about VE Day. Then, choose which activities you would like to try. You can also search for wartime recipes on the 'Twinkl' website.

Bunting making: To mark the anniversary during lockdown, the BBC are encouraging people to make their own bunting to display in their homes to honour the men and women of WW2. There is more information on this website:

It would be great to see some of your bunting so please email any photos in to:

Friday 8th May - Enjoy a bank holiday break! smiley

You can try some of the activities under 'additional resources' if you are looking for something to do. Or search for Year 2 activities on Purple Mash. You may even want to carry on with VE Day activities from yesterday.
