Spelling List

Your spelling words can be practised in a variety of ways.  Here are some choices for you to keep spelling practice fun at home:

Alphabetise your words

Write the words and circle the vowels

Classify your words by part of speech (for example: nouns, verbs, adjectives, . . .)

Rainbow write your words (a different colour for each letter)

Write the words and underline the consonants

Write each word three times and use different fonts

Play Spelling Bee or "Teacher" at home and have your own spelling test

Create a story using your spelling words

Find and write out the definitions of your spelling words from a dictionary

Week 2 (30th March to 3rd April)

 

Every week, you will have 10 spelling words that follow a rule and 5 spelling words from the statutory year 3 and year 4 spelling lists.
