'With Jesus, we learn as a joyful family and flourish to be the best that we can be'
Good Morning Ward class!
I hope you are all well and keeping safe. J
This week on the Oak National Academy, we continue to look at converting measurements.
Work through the lesson, follow the instructions; I will put one link to the lessons each day. You will have quizzes to complete to find out what you already know and even have a real life teacher talking to you, with videos to follow.
Today’s lesson –To convert between grams and kilograms
Focus: Titanic - Find out all there is to know about the infamous ‘unsinkable ship’ Titanic.
This week concentrates on Titanic before the sinking.
Read and watch, ‘What was life like on board Titanic?’ https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/z8mpfg8/articles/zkg9dxs
Now watch this clip, ‘Timeline: The sinking of Titanic – Britannica Encyclopedia’ from 4.08 mins to 5.05 mins: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHJ8DwXlFyQ
Imagine you are employed by the White Star Line (the company that owned Titanic) and have been asked to create a promotional leaflet or poster to advertise Titanic and it’s facilities.
Create a poster or a leaflet persuading people of all classes to buy a ticket. Try to include information of what’ available to do on board for all classes – You can do this on paper, in your books or I have set you a ‘2do’ on purple Mash using a leaflet template.
There is some more information here: http://www.titanicandco.com/inside.html
Make sure you continue to proof-read, edit and up level your work, checking capital letters, full stops, punctuation and grammar.
