LO: To tell a recount from memory
Think about an event you have been to such as a wedding or a birthday party. Can you talk to an adult about what happened at the event using these time conjunctions:
Pick one time conjunction and write your sentence out using the correct punctuation.
Today we are starting our new topic of 'Recounts'. We will be looking at family events that you may have been to such as, weddings, birthdays, etc. Think about an event you have been to and what happened. The teacher in the video talks about 'The Magic Paintbrush' but if you want to use your own story or event then I am more than happy for you to do that!
Can you write 2 sentences about your event using some super adjectives to describe what the event was like.
Go onto phonics play and look at phase 5. Plays dragons den and choose the sounds 'ph' and 'ew'. Then you can choose some other games.

Mental Maths Starter:
Draw a rectangle in your book, now move the rectangle one turn to the right. What is the new position of the rectangle. It may be easier to use some practical objects if you can and then draw it out!
This week we are looking at the topic of 'time'. We are building on our knowledge from before Christmas. Today we are looking at sequencing events in order.
Can you write out your 3 and 5 times table? Circle the numbers that appear in both the 3 and 5 times tables.

We are starting a new topic 'Growth' in Science and hopefully as the weather warms up, we can see lots of new things growing!
Firstly, we are going to look at what we already know about trees. Can you write 3 sentences to tell me what you already know about trees, planting and growing. Try to use some super adjectives and conjunctions in your sentences!
Next, look at the power point explaining deciduous and evergreen trees. Then, if you can with a grown up, go on a 'tree hunt' and collect different leaves in a plastic wallet. You can use the tree hunt tick sheet to help you. When you have done this, you can complete the tree sorting activity to show what you have learnt. Can you organise the images into the correct trees?
Then, can you write 3 sentences to explain what you have learnt about the different tree types and leaves you found.Try to use some adjectives in your sentences.
