English:

LO: To write a set of instructions (guided write)

GPS Starter:

Can you think of 5 imperative verbs (bossy verbs) and put them into a sentence? For example, 'tidy your room!'

Today you are going to start writing your own set of instructions. Remember to include:

-What you will need

-Method

-Finger spaces

-Capital letters

-Punctuation

-Imperative verbs

-Time conjunctions

EXT:
Can you re-read your work to check that it makes sense and you have added in all of your capital letters and full stops. If you have a purple pen or different coloured pen at home you can edit your work.

Phonics:

Go onto phonics play and look at phase 5. Plays cheeky chimps and choose the sounds 'y' and 'g'. Then you can choose some other games.

Maths:

LO: To recognise and add equal amounts

Mental Maths Starter:

Amy has 3 sweets. Tim has double the amount of Amy's sweets. How many sweets does Tim have? How many sweets do Amy and Tim have altogether?

Today we are continuing to look at multiplication and adding the same amounts.

Science:

LO: To write a weather report

Today we are looking at the weather and what it has been like recently. Can you talk to an adult about the weather and discuss what it has been like. Has it been rainy? Or snowy? Or windy? What kind of clothes should we wear in this weather and why?

Complete the weather report to tell me what you know about the weather and what it has been like.
