GPS Starter:

See how many words you can think of with the grapheme 'ph' for example, dolphin.

Main Task:

In today's lesson. we are writing the beginning of your story together. This is exactly how we would do this in class so you shouldn't need too much help from an adult. Remember to include:

  • Capital letters
  • Finger spaces
  • Full stops
  • Neat handwriting
  • Conjunctions
  • Adjectives
  • Noun phrases
  • ‘ed’ suffixes
  • A clear beginning, middle and end.

Can you think of 5 '-ed' words that you could use in your story?

Go onto phonics play and play Buried Treasure on phase 5. Then choose some other phase 5 games.

LO: To recognise, name and describe 3D shapes

Mental Maths Starter:

If I shared 20 sweets between 5 children, how many sweets would each child get?

Main Task:

Today we are looking at 3D shapes. Talk to an adult about some 3D shapes you may already know about.

See if you can find some 3D shapes around your house.

LO: To evaluate a healthy meal

Think back to last week's work and the healthy meal you created. Today we are going to evaluate our meal so we are going to look at what we liked about our meal and what we could improve upon. Think about the skills you used to make your meal (e.g. chopping, cutting). I have attached the sheet for you to complete. Don't worry if you didn't make a sandwich, you can still evaluate your meal.

Think about if you made your healthy meal again, what else could you put in it and why?
