With your grown up, explore position and direction at home. Can you guide your grown up around the room with simple instructions? For example, take two steps forward, turn left, take three steps forward, turn right.

Today we are going to be looking at family trees.

Start by talking to your grown up about the members of your family.


Think about the family that live in your house and then talk about the family members who don't live with you (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins).

Next, think about the age of your family members. Who is oldest and who is youngest?


Work with your grown up to complete the 'Family Tree Leaf Activity' below. Cut out, label and decorate a leaf for each member of your family.
