GPS Starter: 

Watch the powerpoint on -er and -est suffixes. Copy some of the root words from the powerpoint and add either the -er or -est suffix.

Main Activity:

Our new topic in English is 'Traditional Tales with a twist.' We will be thinking of a traditional tale and then changing something about the story, the characters, the setting or writing an alternative ending.

Then have a go at re-writing the story of Little Red Riding Hood, but change something such as having new characters, a different setting or change how the story ends.

 

Maths

Mental Starter: 

Practise counting forwards and backwards in 2s, 5s and 10s.

Main activity 

This week we are looking at multiplication. Watch the powerpoint below.

Then have a go at the sheets on arrays. Try either the 2 or 3 star sheets.

Topic- History

Our new topic for this half term is 'The Great Fire of London.'

Watch the short video below about a huge fire that happened in London nearly 400 years ago. Talk about it with your adult. What can you see?  What do you think was happening? How do you think the people felt?

Write down all the things you want to find out about The Great Fire of London, for example How did it start? When did it happen? How did they put the fire out? How do we know about it?
