Using some describing words, can you write a list of adjectives to describe a dragon?

Main activity

This week we are starting a new story all about dragons. Before reading the story, I want you to write your own 'Adventure story' using the character of the dragon. Your dragon could be friendly or fierce. In your story, think about a problem and how the problem is solved at the end of your story.

Remember to check:

  • Capital letters
  • Finger spaces
  • Full stops
  • Conjunctions - and, but, because

On Phonics play, practise your flashcards for your Phase - (Phase 3, 4 or 5).

Now play Buried treasure using a sound of your choice.

When you get a real word, use that word in a sentence before moving on.

In Maths today we are looking at repeated patterns in colour, shape and number.

See if you can carry on the pattern by looking for the clues in the original pattern.

When you do a number pattern, circle the numbers from the pattern on your 100 square and count how many numbers are missing in between each number. Once you have figured out the pattern, miss out the same amount of numbers and circle the number.

In Science we are starting our new topic, all about Autumn and weather. Have a look at the PowerPoint and write a paragraph about what you already know about Autumn.

When you have finished, think about what you want to find out.

Write 3 questions about Autumn using question starters:

  • Who
  • What
  • When
  • Where
  • Why
  • How

Don't forget your question mark at the end!
