'With Jesus, we learn as a joyful family and flourish to be the best that we can be'

Week Commencing Monday 4th May

Happy Monday everyone!

It's May 4th and Amelia's birthday!! Happy Birthday Amelia, may the 4th be with you cheeky Hope you have a great day!

I hope you all had a great weekend and a little break from all the hard work I know you have been doing. I have had some great photographs sent in! Becca made a Victoria sponge for one of her projects for History - it looked amazing! (I have uploaded them onto our selfie page).

A lot of you thoroughly enjoyed doing the work on the Oak Academy website for maths which is great news! So I am going to put up the same tasks for this week to just do it on there. I am super proud of how you are all just getting on with it!

Let me know if there is anything further you may want or need on Dojo or Purple Mash!

Miss you all loads and keep smiling! Emmie says, "Hi," too! x laugh

VE Day Friday 8th May

Victory in Europe Day, generally known as VE Day in the United Kingdom, is a day celebrating the formal acceptance by the Allies of World War II of Nazi Germany's unconditional surrender of its armed forces on Tuesday, 8 May 1945. It would be a great opportunity for you to learn more about World War 2 from home and below I have attached links to support you with your learning.

To mark the anniversary during lockdown, the BBC are encouraging people to make their own bunting to display in their homes to honour the men and women of WW2. There is more information on this website:

It would be nice to see some of the bunting so please email your photos in to: office@smsb.lancs.sch.uk or send me them on Class Dojo and I can upload them onto our Selfie page.
