Summer 1 2024
A huge THANK YOU to all the adults at home who have encouraged their children to read, and sign thier diaries, every day - the progress we've seen is incredible!
In Southworth class, we'd like to once again encourage all the children (and their adults) to keep this momentum going and continue our progress. We do appreciate that persuading a child to read every day can be extremely difficult, but we cannot express the power of reading enough. It truly is the pathway to the whole curriculum.
This half term, we will be concentrating, where possible, on understanding arithmetic. We will be practising all four operations, fractions, sequencing, and so on. We will also be practising word problems and questions written in an assessment structure.
