We discovered that some of the children in Beesley class were born in the year of the pig (children born in 2019) and some were born in the year of the rat (children born in 2020) Although this year is the year of the snake! The children have been creating snakes by threading materials onto string and developed their cutting skills to cut along the line of a snake. The children then used their fingers to create repeating patterns.  The children have been learning how people get ready to celebrate Lunar New Year including cleaning and decorating their houses. The children have been making their own lantern to decorate the classroom. Outside the children have been mark marking using chalk to create their own snakes.

In Drawing Club we read The Great Race and the children have been designing a new character to join the race. The children used the puppets to role-play and act out the story.
