The children have been exploring the composition of numbers within 7. One of the activities included the children throwing 7 beanbag towards a hoop and counting how many beanbags made it into the hoop and how many didn't. The children then had a go at saying the stem sentence "seven is made of _ and _,_ and _ makes 7."
The very busy spider🕷️🕸️, by Mrs Burgess
Date: 12th May 2026 @ 6:20pm
We have recently become spider experts learning lots of facts from the non fiction books all about Spiders. Last week we read the story of The Very Busy Spider and created our own spider web by role playing the story everytime we said "the spider too busy spinning her web"we rolled the 'spider silk' to another person. At the end of the story we discovered we had created our own spider web.
Later the same day, whilst outside some of the children found that the 'very busy spider' was busy creating spider webs on the posts in our outdoor area. She was a very busy spider!

Spring Walk, by Mrs Burgess
Date: 25th Mar 2026 @ 11:49am
The children in Beesley Class went on a walk around the school environment looking for signs of Spring. The children explored Forest School and saw lots of daffodils, some blossom and green leaves on the trees and lots of flower buds around. We noticed some bees around and found a couple of ladybirds on the leaves. The children had their photographs taken infront of our class tree to explore the changes since September (from our Autumn walk) and in January (from our Winter walk) We also looked at how the children have changed (grown)since starting school in September.
