The children have been learning about World War 2 and they had a visitor from the Preston Black History Group to talk to them about an event the occurred locally during the war. They learnt about the events that led up to the Battle of Bamber Bridge during World War 2, what occurred during it and the repercussions of this battle.

We have been learning about the function of each part of a flower in Science. We conducted an experiment where we used celery and food colouring to observe how liquid is absorbed by the stem and travels up the plant.
